Douglas "Doug" P. Rauch, Esq., 64, passed away in his residence on Sunday, February 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Lebanon, PA, he was the son of the late Paul "Pete" Rauch and Rhea J. (Reinhold) Rauch. Doug graduated from Cedar Crest High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Lebanon Valley College, and his Doctorate in Law from Penn State Dickinson Law. Doug worked as a lawyer in Berks County for over 30 years before retiring as the owner of his firm, the Law Office of Douglas Rauch, Esquire.
Doug loved swimming, listening to music, animals, and camping. He was devoted to serving his community and helping others. He dedicated much of his time to Safe Berks, serving as a board member and past president and receiving the Voices for Change Award in 2014. He was the past president of the Young Lawyers Division of the Berks County Bar Association and a member of the Rotary Club of Spring Township Centennial.
In addition to his wife Steph Rauch, Doug's memory will be cherished by his daughter, Jen Rauch; his son-in-law, Bryan Flavin; his siblings, Bev Rauch and Brad Rauch, husband of Doris Rauch; his stepmother, Sharon Rauch; his nieces, Johanna Patterson and Abby Sherick; and his nephew, Martin Rauch.
The funeral service for Doug will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home, in West Reading. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the beginning of the service. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Grand View Memorial Park at 1:30 p.m. at 500 N. Weaber St., Lebanon, PA 17046.
